IGeL services

Individual health services (IGeL) are medical services that patients generally have to pay for themselves because they are not covered by statutory health insurance (self-payer services).

They are always an additional, voluntary offer.
The IGeL services in our practice include, for example

supplementary laboratory tests such as PSA value and vitamin D value, vitamin profiles, hormone profiles or
large blood counts
Travel vaccination advice
Intramuscular injection of vitamin preparations
Certificates and expert reports in which we certify and document certain aspects of your state of health and provide an expert opinion. The initiative may come from you or from bodies such as schools, insurance companies and courts. Only if certificates and expert reports are requested by health insurance companies or serve as proof of illness at work will the statutory health insurance companies bear the costs. Otherwise, certificates and reports are IGeL services and the costs vary depending on the scope and amount of work involved.
We will be happy to advise you on the subject of IGel services, please contact us.

Spirometry

Pulmonary function testing (spirometry) is used for the early detection of lung diseases and for monitoring progress during therapy.

During spirometry, the various lung volumes and respiratory resistances are continuously recorded and graphically displayed.

Spirometry is necessary to clarify shortness of breath in lung diseases.

Geriatric assessment

The geriatric assessment serves to detect motor, cognitive and emotional disorders at an early stage so that targeted therapy can be carried out in good time. (Assessment of everyday competence and the need for assistance in elderly patients).

During the geriatric assessment, all organ systems as well as social and psychological components of your illnesses are assessed using standardized procedures. As a result of the diagnostic findings, further measures tailored to the individual patient, such as examinations, the administration of medication, nursing measures or the provision of aids, can be initiated.
