Vaccinations/ vaccination advice

Vaccinations serve to improve immune protection against diseases so that diseases do not occur at all or only in a weakened form.

Which vaccinations you should receive and when depends largely on your previous vaccination status, your age and your current state of health.

We recommend the vaccinations according to the vaccination calendar of the Standing Vaccination Commission of the Robert Koch Institute (STIKO).
We always implement any changes/updates to the vaccination recommendations promptly.

The statutory health insurance companies cover the costs of these standard vaccinations:

  • Diphtheria
  • polio
  • tetanus
  • Whooping cough
  • measles
  • mumps
  • Rubella
  • From the age of 60 Vaccination against pneumococcus, shingles and annual flu vaccination

Additional/more frequent vaccinations may be necessary for risk groups/patients with certain chronic illnesses.

Please contact us, we will be happy to inform you in a personal consultation.

DMP: Management of chronic diseases: Asthma/COPD/Hypertension/Diabetes II

As part of the DMP program, patients are seen in the practice every 3 months. Here, we will check how you are doing with your chronic illness in a discussion and/or by means of medical examinations. This allows us to react as quickly as possible to any changes in the course of your illness.

Insured persons can participate in DMP programs with

- Asthma
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
- Type II diabetes (DM2)
- Coronary heart disease (CHD)

Participation is voluntary and free of charge for you.
All you need to do is register for the program.

Youth health and safety examination (before starting an apprenticeship)

In Germany, the law stipulates that young people (aged 15-18) may only be employed by an employer if they have been examined by a doctor within the 14 months prior to employment. The new employer must be in possession of the certificate of the youth health and safety examination.

Carrying out the youth health and safety examination:
First, the young person must obtain the so-called authorization certificate from the registration office. Together with their legal guardians, they fill out the preparation form, sign it together with their legal guardians and bring it with them to the examination. In order to determine the vaccination status, the vaccination card should also be available.

Costs:
The costs for the youth health and safety examination are borne by the respective federal state.
